You may visit the embassy for the purpose of a visa or attestations. Every country has its own requirements for visas and attestations. Ø VALID PASSPORT:

You will require a valid passport for the purpose of a visa. Just a passport is not enough. The passport should have an expiry date of more than six months.

The candidate should have a clear passport-size picture for the visa. The picture size and dimensions should be according to the requirements of the embassy.

Ø VISA APPLICATION FORM:

You should also keep your visa application form with you while visiting the embassy for a visa.

Ø EMPLOYMENT LETTER:

 If you are going on a work visa to another country, then you should have your employment letter with you.

Ø INVITATION LETTER:

Some countries require an invitation letter from someone if you want to go to that country. You should also carry your invitation letter with you.

Ø  BIRTH CERTIFICATE:

A Pakistani birth certificate is required when you are visiting the embassy for immigration purposes.

Ø MARRIAGE CERTIFICATE:

 If you applied for a spouse visa, then you will need the marriage certificate from Pakistan. This certificate is proof of your being married. The certificate should be a computerized certificate.

Ø  DIVORCE CERTIFICATE:

 If you are divorced and wish to get married abroad, then you should have your divorce certificate from Pakistan with you.

Ø  UNMARRIED CERTIFICATE:

If you are single and wish to marry abroad, then you have to obtain your single status certificate in Pakistan.

Ø  GUARDIANSHIP CERTIFICATE:

 If you are travelling abroad with your child or children, then you should also have the guardianship certificate in Pakistan, for which you have to file the case in the guardian court. After the certificate, you will also require permission from the court to take the minors abroad.

Ø BANK STATEMENT:

 Some of the countries also require a bank statement from the candidate. It is advised to keep the bank statement with you, especially when you are going abroad on an investor visa or for business.

Ø  ADMISSION LETTER:

If you are going abroad for studies, then you should have the admission letter from the institute abroad.

Ø  VACCINATION CERTIFICATE:

Some countries also require Pakistanis to get the polio vaccination certificate before moving to their country. It is recommended to get vaccinated and also get your vaccination letter.

Ø  TRANSLATIONS:

 Translations of each document in the language of the country where you are moving may also be required. It’s better to keep all the documents translated before you go to the embassy.

Ø ATTESTATION FROM MOFA:

Any document that you want to use abroad should be attested by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Pakistan. The ministry also provides the services of an Apostille in Pakistan.
